Christmas shopping with Katie

As we were leaving Kohl's after buying nothing but a gift card, Katie started skipping beside me. Then she planted her little feet and declared, "Best party EVARRR!"

Oh, my Kate

Three years old. I cannot tell you how amazing it is having you in our lives.

"It's a birfday party! Yay!'

We had a small family gathering for Katie's third birthday. Can't believe my baby is three!











We're so glad our family was able to be with us to celebrate this girl! Missing family that's far away!

Thanksgiving #1:
Celebrated at Jared's brother's house. Unfortunately, Rich and his family couldn't make it from Utah, but we sure had fun! We really could have used those three extra teenage boys' stomachs--too much food!

Katie and the Big Snow

Loving the snow this year! Running, sliding, sledding, and most of all... snowballs! Unfortunately, she's a pretty good shot!






Coincidentally, our favorite bedtime book right now is

Jared's jeep was cleared off at 3:00 pm. It's six hours later when I took this.





More than a foot on top of the garbage cans. Not the most elegant picture, but I was in my slippers, and didn't want to venture out further than I had too!

Preschool projects

From September: learning about farms and farm animals! Please excuse her déshabillage. We're in a phase.


From November: the turkey puppet


From November: the Leaf Man. She divested him of his leafy hands and feet in the car on the way home. I don't think she even stopped to think how he might be traumatized. But since he got his own chair at dinner, I don't think he's holding a grudge.
