Happy Halloween!

Halloween festivities started today. On Tuesday, I found out that there was going to be a party at the library for storytime. The daycare goes to the library every Thursday. And ACK! I'm not done with K's "motorcycle rider" costume! So we moved to backup costume: The Butterfly





Jared's school is having a shindig tomorrow night. He says he's excited to show Katie off.

Punkin Patch

Today was a beautiful fall day! I'm so glad we waited to visit the punkins!



Katie ran all over the patch, looking for the perfectest pumpkin. She'd bend down to check one out, and then we'd ask if that was the one she wanted to take home. "Noooooo..." she'd say, and then run off to find another.



She finally selected one big one for Daddy to take home, and then found a little one that she wanted to carry herself. Until she realized it was dirty.

Curlylocks

Every once in a while, I'll curl Kate's hair. It's naturally curly/wavy, but the artificial curls are fun for a change. I was going to buy those pink foam curlers that my mom used on me, but then I remembered about rag curling. It comes out twisty and fun, and I think she's adorable with her hair all tied up!

This round was a little uneven, because I was in a hurry last night, but it was still fun.

Preschool

Katie started daycare/preschool this fall. She goes to an in-home center and loves it! There's a group of 3 little girls, between the ages of 2 1/2 and 3 1/2, who are all buddies. Katie is having so much fun, and learning so much!

A Day at the Fair

This post is just a little late. The fair's in August. It's September. I know.

Back into a routine

School has started for me. I'm teaching Anatomy, Physical Science and.... English! Gah. I don't like teaching English. If it weren't for my friend Heather helping me out with lesson planning, I'd cry every day. Which would probably get me fired. But she's an awesome teacher, and so I think my kid's lurn to reed and rite gud.

School starts for Jared next week. Nursing school at CBC. He is really excited. I am not so excited about that full page book list.

School has started for Katie... sort of. She's starting at an in-home daycare with a preschool component. She loves going to Angie's and playing with her friends.
